The Extrema Ratio BD4 Lucky MIL-C | Black is a handy, folding knife that is suitable for use by law enforcement and as a tourist knife due to its high durability and functionality. Made in an elegant Italian style, the name can be translated as "lucky".
The lancet-shaped blade has a maximum width of 25 mm. The edges are narrowly sharpened, and the blade has a false tang on the butt, which gives the blade excellent penetrating properties. Straight descents from the butt are reduced to a cutting edge of 0.5 - 0.7 mm, which is characterized by an excellent cut. A small section of the cutting edge has a fine serrated grind. The material used is Böhler N690 cobalt steel with a hardness of 58 HRC. The alloy has excellent cutting properties, resists shock loads, and sharpens perfectly.
The knife opens with the help of one of the two fins located symmetrically at the base of the blade. In the open position, they act as a guard. It is fixed with the popular Liner-Lock lock.
The handle is thin, only 11 mm thick. This was achieved thanks to the material used - Anticorodal aluminum alloy, which is characterized by low weight and high strength. The ergonomic shape of the handle, developed using the unique ERMH (Extrema Ratio Multipurpose Handle) technology based on the principles of kinesiology, fits comfortably in the hand. There is also a large underfinger recess for a reverse grip.
The handle surface is anodized with a protective coating. In addition to the company's traditional wide underfinger recess, it has a small rounded depression, resting against which it is convenient to intercept the knife with a finger in a different grip.
